      Hi Rachana,
For MBA in HR, Xavier Labour Research Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur has the best course in India followed by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) Pune and Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon.

      Hi Sriniketh,
Currently, Gitam school of international business hasn’t been ranked by us. However, if you are considering admission in that college, a good recommendation would be to talk to the Alumni of that college and ask them about the following factors:
      1. Quality of Faculty
      2. Placements
      3. Facilities
These three factors would help you make your decision.
      Good luck!

Dear Author, you have placed new IIMs in tier 2 ..with KJ Somaiya and all. Don’t you think you shuld be more informed and then gives the rating, as it hampers other aspirants for making informed choice. Sorry for such long sentence.

      Dear Alok,
Brand name (that too borrowed) is not the only factor affecting college ranking. The new IIMs still have a long way to go in ensuring faculty quality, placements and alumni network – the key factors which influence ranking. That’s the reason they are ranked below the well established colleges who have these processes set.

Unfortunately we do not have state specific MBA rankings. I would advise you not to constrain yourself to one state. If you get a good college anywhere in the country, spending two years out-of-state may be well worth it.

    hello sir,
i am an engineering graduate, i am my with my B.E program in computer engineering, i would like to know whether i should go directly for MBA? or should i first go to MS? i would like to work in india once i m done with my studies. help me

    Reply
    1. admin Post author

MBA and MS are totally different tracks. What you should do depends on what you think you will be good – if you think you will be a great computer engineer, then go for MS. If you want to make a career in management or change your track from CS to finance or marketing, then go for MBA. The only one who can answer this question is you. Remember, if you love what you do and you are good at what you do, then success will find you. All the best.

    Reply
    1. admin Post author

“Now opting for MBA since I didn’t get any job after BE” – This is not a good approach and there is no guarantee that MBA will give you a job. The correct approach would be to figure out what you like and what you are good at, and then choose either a Masters in Engineering or an MBA accordingly. No matter what course you choose, ensure that you study well so that you are able to secure a job after passing out.

Deepika, There is little to choose between them. IIMC is almost a decade older hence has stronger alumni presence in the industry. IIMC is more valued for Finance, whereas IIMB is widely popular as a general purpose MBA.

Great Lakes (Choose PGPM-Ex Admissions – Great Learning)
    RVS Coimbatore (rvsimsr.ac.in)
Sunstone Business School (Sunstone Business School-India’s largest management program for working professionals)
SP Jain (Big Data And Analytics Program)

I am not really sure which one would be the ideal one, Can you pls suggest one?

IMI, Delhi belongs to the same tier as IMT, Ghaziabad. Your`s is the only site which has not put these 2 renowned institutions in the same tier. IMI, Delhi has a much smaller batch size compared to IMT, G and accepts only 90+ CAT percentilers.
iBS, Hyderabad has been highly overrated in your rankings. It has a mba atch size of 1000+. Even candidates between 45 to 50 CAT Percentile or NMAT score of 150 easily get a seat in this institute.

Yes, many IIMs have lower weightage on 10th and 12th marks for the MBA interview shortlists. You will however, need to convince your interviews why you think you will do better in the MBA course.
