      Hi Rachana,
For MBA in HR, Xavier Labour Research Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur has the best course in India followed by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD) Pune and Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon.

      Hi Sriniketh,
Currently, Gitam school of international business hasn’t been ranked by us. However, if you are considering admission in that college, a good recommendation would be to talk to the Alumni of that college and ask them about the following factors:
      1. Quality of Faculty
      2. Placements
      3. Facilities
These three factors would help you make your decision.
      Good luck!

  2. Gaurav Yadav

What about nirma university and its placement is it offer 100% placement and what is the salary package?

  3. Gurjot singh

what is the difference between tier 1 & tier 2…?

  4. Patel

    Dear Sir,

Thanks very much for sharing the list.

Can you help me in getting information for Bits Pilani for MBA. Also can you share the 2015 CAT cut off marks & placements at Bits Pilani.

  5. Alok

Dear Author, you have placed new IIMs in tier 2 ..with KJ Somaiya and all. Don’t you think you shuld be more informed and then gives the rating, as it hampers other aspirants for making informed choice. Sorry for such long sentence.

    1. admin Post author

      Dear Alok,
Brand name (that too borrowed) is not the only factor affecting college ranking. The new IIMs still have a long way to go in ensuring faculty quality, placements and alumni network – the key factors which influence ranking. That’s the reason they are ranked below the well established colleges who have these processes set.

  6. Ritesh

Dear Admin , How is Lala LajpatRai in Mumbai for MBA.

  7. lokesh sahu

Could you please provide the rankings for MBA colleges in Karnataka alone? It will help me in choosing better college. Thanks.

Unfortunately we do not have state specific MBA rankings. I would advise you not to constrain yourself to one state. If you get a good college anywhere in the country, spending two years out-of-state may be well worth it.

  9. rohit agarwal

    Hi admin,

What college would you suggest for Operations Management, MBA?
among tier 1 and tier 2 colleges.

i am thinking to go for SIMS pune
    i am from general category
would u recommend it for HRM
what is the average placement package?

    1. admin Post author

SIMS has pretty good placements overall. For HRM, you should consider colleges like XLRI and SCMHRD first. That said, HRM placements at SIMS are good too.

  13. Ankit P

How is FLAME pune and MILE pune. I dont have a very good score, CAT 71.5. Please help me with both

  14. Dinesh Yadav

    hello sir,
i am an engineering graduate, i am my with my B.E program in computer engineering, i would like to know whether i should go directly for MBA? or should i first go to MS? i would like to work in india once i m done with my studies. help me

    1. admin Post author

MBA and MS are totally different tracks. What you should do depends on what you think you will be good – if you think you will be a great computer engineer, then go for MS. If you want to make a career in management or change your track from CS to finance or marketing, then go for MBA. The only one who can answer this question is you. Remember, if you love what you do and you are good at what you do, then success will find you. All the best.

How is one year PGPM course at Chennai campus of Great Lakes Institute of Management ?

    1. admin Post author

The course is good, however, the one year courses at ISB Hyderabad and IIM Lucknow (Noida Campus) are much better.

  20. nikil

I have done my engineering. Now opting for MBA since I didn’t get any job after BE. Which course would be better to get many job opportunities? Does anyone have idea about Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore?

    1. admin Post author

“Now opting for MBA since I didn’t get any job after BE” – This is not a good approach and there is no guarantee that MBA will give you a job. The correct approach would be to figure out what you like and what you are good at, and then choose either a Masters in Engineering or an MBA accordingly. No matter what course you choose, ensure that you study well so that you are able to secure a job after passing out.

  21. Ridhima

Can u plz tell about the placements of IMT Nagpur? And is it a good choice to make as I had already cleared its GDPI process?

  22. deepika tripathi

IIMB comes after IIMC…I thought it was IIM A, B,C …please give some points actually I’m a naive here.

    1. admin Post author

Deepika, There is little to choose between them. IIMC is almost a decade older hence has stronger alumni presence in the industry. IIMC is more valued for Finance, whereas IIMB is widely popular as a general purpose MBA.

  23. deepika tripathi

    Thank you sir…its a great help…thanks a lot…and why does ISB Hyderabad ranked 2nd?

  24. AV

I am confused between choosing XIMB-BM and SCMHRD. I am not looking for a HR specialization. Pls Advise

  25. Rachit Maheshwari

Why is imi in tier 3 though it is considered good for finance

  26. Egghead

How are institutes whose admissions are based on AIMA UGAT (Under Graduate Aptitude Test)? In which tier do they fall? Only Nirma is listed above. However, good institutes like Kalinga (KIIT) Buubaneshwar seem to be left out.

  27. singh

Hello Sir, I am planning for MBA.I did in 2013, having 25 months of experience but i don’t enjoy my job because i am not good in technical. Somehow I managed to get the job. There are some colleges which don’t have big name but there placements are really very good.
Sir , please suggest me any college which u find best. I have only appeared for MAT

I have got 2 offers – IFMR(PGDM) and Great Lakes(PGDM). I want to specialize in finance. Which college should I prefer??

  29. Syed akbar

Which profession in management field have huge salary?
I’m bit confused about it that in which field should I go. As my interest falls in HR, but from some sources I have heard that HR profession doesn’t pay you good salary in future.
So please suggest, what field to suggest and also that whether mba should be done correspondence or full time from any university? Which have more value or correspondence mba from good university will be a great idea.
    Please suggest on these issues

  30. Kriti

Can you tell me which college gives admission without any entrance exam but also gives best education and awsome placement in Pune, Bangalore or Rajasthan?

    1. mbaclub Post author

Dear Kriti – There is no college which has good education and great placements but no entrance exam. Any decent college will have some sort of entrance exam or the other. The good colleges will have entrance exams which are tougher to crack.

    1. mbaclub Post author

As you can see from the rankings, the program is decently ranked and is good.

I got call from IIT Chennai, Kanpur, Kharagpur, and Roorki. Which one I should choose?

    1. mbaclub Post author

The ranks are already here to help you make your decision. If you have more questions or need more guidance, you can use our MBA College Selection service to help you choose the best college.

  35. Raj Choubey

    Hi admn!

Your list is truly going to help students. But please add Quantum Global Campus, Roorkee which is doing a wonderful job in placements for MBA students.

    Dear Sir.
I have taken MBA admission in welingkar institute—Mumbai In operation management.
But actually I want to go with Project management. As per specialist Operation management also having major subject in PM.
So may I know whether the direct Project management (Only few colleges are offering this course) is valuable than Operation management (specialization in PM). And what is the placement rating in Welingkar–Mumbai.

  37. Saju

    Dear Sir,

Could you please give me a comparison of Executive MBA of IIM-Kozhikode and MBA in Manufacutring Management (for working professionals) of BITS Pilani?

    Thanks in advance,

  38. Dr Raksha sharma

Please tell me the best institute for health and hospital management – best institute in terms of reputation, packages and placements. Please guide me.

  39. She

OMG this website has given IMI, Delhi such a poor ranking. I would want to know the authenticity of this report. Considering the reputation of companies and packages offered at IMI last year, I must say it seems like this report isn’t well researched. Period.

  40. swetha

I am a BBA Grad with 6 years of sales and marketing experience. I am very keen in getting into a field such as Business Analytics. On inquiring for some good institutes I came across colleges like
Great Lakes (Choose PGPM-Ex Admissions – Great Learning)
    RVS Coimbatore (
Sunstone Business School (Sunstone Business School-India’s largest management program for working professionals)
SP Jain (Big Data And Analytics Program)

I am not really sure which one would be the ideal one, Can you pls suggest one?

  41. Mahee Patel

Can you share an institute which offers blended course?

  47. Jaydeep Deshmukh

Let me know about IIM, CALCUTTA – Executive Program in Global Business Management.

  48. R. KUMAR

IMI, Delhi belongs to the same tier as IMT, Ghaziabad. Your`s is the only site which has not put these 2 renowned institutions in the same tier. IMI, Delhi has a much smaller batch size compared to IMT, G and accepts only 90+ CAT percentilers.
iBS, Hyderabad has been highly overrated in your rankings. It has a mba atch size of 1000+. Even candidates between 45 to 50 CAT Percentile or NMAT score of 150 easily get a seat in this institute.

  49. Nisha

How is chetana, ies of Mumbai?
As I have scored 93.88 percentile in mhcet
Or should I take a gap?
    What would you prefer?

  50. guest

I have poor academic records – 70% in 12th and 55% in 10th exams. Will I get a call from any of the IIMs if I get good percentile?

    1. mbaclub Post author

Yes, many IIMs have lower weightage on 10th and 12th marks for the MBA interview shortlists. You will however, need to convince your interviews why you think you will do better in the MBA course.
