Summary: Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (also known as IIM T or IIM Trichy) is a public graduate business school located at Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. Founded in 2011, it is one of the seven Indian Institutes of Management the Indian government had set up during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and is mentored by IIM Bangalore. It was the 11th IIM to be set up in India. Classes for the first batch began on June 15, 2011. Former SEBI chairman Meleveetil Damodaran heads the board of governors while former IIM Calcutta professor Prafulla Agnihotri is the director of IIM Trichy. IIM Trichy has been ranked 14th nationally in the management schools ranking conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIFR).

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) (It may also referred to as Persons with Disability (PWD) category)], awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
